Euro Paddle Pass is a project involving seven National Canoeing Federations in Europe. The project aim is to create a common system of paddle sport competency awards across Europe. Please feel free to browse the site to learn more about the project and the member countries involved. 

The project was set up initially with finance from the European Commission as part of the European Year of Education through Sport.

  • News from the latest coregroup meeting More disciplines and levels in useJanuary 22nd 2015 the EPP core group held it's ordinary yearly meeting in Oslo. Not present this time were Ireland and Slovenia, but the remaining group could welcome Italy into the cooperation.Italy will in the first place addapt to the EPP 1-3 standards for sea kayak.Finland moved ahead and has now permission to run white water level 3.Standards for SUP will be presented at the next meeting in France in October 2015.Courses across boardersIt was agreed to quit the project with establishing a common courses calendar and in stead add links from the to every NGB’s courses calender.   • Continued development of the EPP cooperation. It was the second time that the EPP core group organized a benchmark event. This time it was held in Slovenia, who took care of the gears and the guinea pigs.Not surprisingly Slovenia sent most assessors and observers - and also `guinea pigs' to the assessments. All countries were represented, except Germany. In addition to the member countries also Norway and Italy participated. It was a successful session where not everyone passed, but a common European understanding of the EPP 3 levels were developed.   • New core group meeting and benchmark event comming up This Saturday and Sunday the partners in the EPP core group will meet up in Bohinj, Slovenia for a benchmark event. Here they will share knowledge and experience on running level 3 programs in sea-kayak, flat-water and whitewater.After the assessor has had there fun on the water the partners will then discuss both lessons learned and housekeeping in the EPP. This includes application for a membership from Norway but also the long term strategic plan.With Norway formally seeking membership the group will reach 9 countries.   • New treasurer and reelection At the closing of the first meeting i 2014 Swedish representative Anders Danielson  was elected treasurer of the EPP.  Christian Jacobsen was reelected chairman and Malene Hjorth secretary.Also new plans for marketing the EPP system was developed as well as a plan for revamping the presentation of the awards and a new overview of education availiable across Europe. <- Anders Danielsen new treasurer to the EPP.

  • EPP core group meet in Finland Today and tomorrow the EPP core group get together in Helsinki, Finland. 7 out of 8 countries is present. BCU is excused due to a unforeseen situation for their representative. Norway is once again visiting. On the agenda is Leadership vs group management in a personal performance system. Expansion of the EPP with new countries.Strategic plan for the EPP system.Housekeeping items like activities in 2014, budget 2014, election of chair, secretary and treasurer.Also the group will work on a shared course calendar.
